Students Give Back at Thanksgiving

Parker School students collected nearly two tons of canned goods for North Hawaii food banks as part of the school's annual 'Ohana Day on November 21. Held the day before Thanksgiving each year, Parker School's 'Ohana Day engages students to give back to their community through volunteer service projects and a school-wide food drive.

Robotics Team Competes at State Again

Parker's middle and lower school robotics team recently competed at the Hawai'i FIRST LEGO League (FLL) State Championship on O'ahu. "This was the third consecutive year students qualified and participated at the state level, but is the first time we competed with a team composed entirely of lower school students . . .

"Invincibulls" in Japan

Parker's upper school Robotics Club recently competed on the world stage at the World Robot Summit 2018 held in Tokyo, Japan on October 17-21. Freshmen Del Jordan, Logan Kidani, and faculty member Brent Takenouchi represented the school during the exciting five-day competition. The World Robot Summit (WRS) included two parts: the World Robot Challenge (WRC) . . .

Speech and Debate Team Takes Their Competition to Utah

The Parker School speech and debate team embarked on an extended tour of the state of Utah October 1-7. The entire trip was made possible by a generous grant from the Julia Burke Foundation, who covered the cost of travel, lodging and tournament fees for all participants, as part of a $100,000 award . . .

More than 30 student-athletes were honored at an award ceremony on Thursday, November 15.  Several students received awards including the holomua award, coaches award, most valuable player and more.

Congratulations to freshman Kai Higgins and junior Grace Bollinger who competed at the cross country state championships on O'ahu. Both ran against nearly 200 runners and had strong races.

Thank you PTSO for preparing a delicious and restorative teacher appreciation luncheon for faculty and staff during Parker's first quarter teacher conferences. In addition to a beautiful spread of food, faculty and staff were treated to massages and nail treatments.
